About

Hello! My name is Kendyll, and I'm an artist and illustrator working in Boston, MA. Finding inspiration both in traditional scientific & anatomical illustration, as well as in pop art & photography, I create work with a bright and modern aesthetic emphasizing realism, color and bold composition. I combine and layer traditional media like watercolor, colored pencil and gouache, to render a final image that can be delivered digitally or physically.

My botanical and food illustration is used commercially in packaging, paper goods and editorial applications, as well as displayed in private and corporate collections worldwide.

Whether the scope of your project is big or small, commercial or private, I take the utmost care to ensure that you're thrilled with the end result and enjoy the process of working together. From the initial sketch to the finished piece, I'm committed to meeting all project deadlines, working within the budget whenever possible, and communicating clearly with you throughout the course of the project.

If you're interested in licensing an existing work or commissioning a new one, please contact me directly at kendyll.hillegas@gmail.com and I'll be happy to put together an estimate.

Testimonials

We had the privilege of working with Kendyll on a packaging project across cream and fruit based natural foods. We could not imagine a better experience working with a partner than the one we had with Kendyll. She took the time to understand our vision, explain her process, and was extremely accommodating to our needs. Kendyll went above and beyond to ensure we were thrilled with the final artwork. The results were beautiful and we can’t wait to work with Kendyll again.

I commissioned 4 unique pieces from Kendyll after seeing her work on instagram and in magazines.  I wanted something unique for my boutique candy and ice cream store in Baltimore Maryland. I am so pleased by her amazing work! She was extremely helpful in the planning process and was just a joy to work with. She is extremely talented and I am so excited to feature her work in my store. I can’t wait to work with her again and could not recommend her more highly.
— Alexis "Lucky" Thompson, Owner, The Best of Luck, Baltimore MD
Kendyll was so great to work with, I can’t imagine it going any better and the result has exceeded my expectations. Communication was easy and fun, which I feel helped facilitate the expansion of the original brief to something even better. Kendyll is professional, organised and brilliant at interpreting feedback at each stage, to ensure the outcome is the best it can be. I really enjoyed the process and hope I get to work with her again!
